Climate change effect the increase of hurricanes
A hurricane can be devastating when it hits land depending on just how strong that it is, and it seems that hurricanes have increased in strength as well. This leads many people questioning weather or not the climate change effect the increase of hurricanes. This has been an ongoing debate, is it a coincidence or is it related to global warming. The only real fact that can not be disputed is that there has been an increase in hurricane activity. There have been changes in many aspects of the earth. Sea levels are rising, and if the earth continues to heat up it will continue to rise. This rising sea level plays an important role in the production of storms, the more storms the more the storm surges will come and the cycle continues again and again. It’s a scary thought and while right now things might be so bad they will soon get to a point that flooding is in places that it never has been before. One very important climate change effect the increase of hurricanes is due to the fact that we are constantly burning fossil fuels and tearing down our forests which are the main cause of this global warming disaster. Carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are becoming alarmingly high, and as long as we continue to do these things the more damage will occur, such as hurricanes and other natural disasters. Global warming has been a big thing for many years, but with the large amount of people that do not believe that it is because of human activities nothing has been pushed regarding this topic, until just recently. You cannot deny the rising temperatures of the seas, and the effects that it has been having on our weather. This is only the beginning, and while there is not actual proof that climate change effect the increase of hurricanes it’s a pretty right on prediction. I just hope that at some point we realize that if we continue to do nothing about this problem that it will be too late for the earth when we finally make the decision to slow down the process of this climate change. I don’t believe that we can stop it now that it has already begun, but I do believe that we can buy ourselves some time by reducing the amount of fossil fuels that we burn, and start using recycled building material instead of cutting down our forests. There are many easy ways to do your part in saving the earth, so why has it been taking years for it too catch on enough?
